A piano teacher can never have too many repertoire recommendations, right?! In my ongoing quest for just the right music for each student to accompany our practice incentive theme this year, I came across this fabulous collection of dozens of recommendations for Rote Solos.
I love utilizing rote solos to help students cultivate musicality and topographical fluency in their piano playing. I have a Rote Repertoire Notebook that I keep handy so I can quickly look up ideas for students who may need to work on a particular skill or concept. Having lists of tried-and-true rote solos like this one on the Music Moves for Piano website is so helpful, and I love that it is categorized by level and a few other elements for easy reference. Definitely a page to keep bookmarked for future use!
