I’ll be honest, some of my practice incentive themes and studio banners are harder to let go of than others. Cracking the Crystal Code is one of those. I am still relishing the year of incredible progress that I saw in each of my students, along with the way their motivation remained high all year long. It’s going to be a hard theme to follow, but it also puts everyone at a great place to keep growing and cultivating excellent skills as pianists. So, as is my custom each summer, I’m giving away not only the practice incentive theme package, but also all the studio banners that I had printed to go along with this theme. You can see a pic of them on the wall in our studio behind us in this piano camp picture:

One special Music Matters Blog reader will win the entire practice incentive theme package for Cracking the Crystal Code, along with these four correlating wall banners to hang up in your studio and track your students’ progress through each cave all year long as they grow in their sightreading skills. Just enter to win by leaving a comment on this post. One winner will be selected using a random number generator at noon (CST) on Friday, July, 24, 2026.

Sounds interesting! I incorporate a little sightreading into lessons but I’ve never done a themed practice incentive.

Your programs are amazing! I have been using them for over a decade now. I am so busy that I would never have the time to put together something so thorough and fun. Thank you for all that you do!

I have also used many of your practice incentives over the years with my piano studio. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas and all the work you put into making your themes so thorough and fun each year. You are amazing. Put me in the drawing for this year’s incentive please. I would love to try it out.
