It’s hard to believe, but it was 20 years ago today that the first post went live on Music Matters Blog! A lot has changed in the online music education world since 2005, but what hasn’t changed is the creative and generous spirit of so many who have made this their profession. There are more resources and tools and online platforms than ever before, and I’m so grateful to be part of a community that is always learning and growing and creating!
In celebration of these 20 years, I’m offering a 20% off coupon good for almost every product in the Music Matters Blog store throughout the whole month of September! Just use the code: HAPPY20 when you checkout to have the discount applied. Whether you’re looking for a new practice incentive theme to generate renewed enthusiasm and motivation in your students or some fun games to use in piano lessons or group classes or a fully-planned piano camp program to use with your students or as a community outreach to preschool students, you’ll find all that and more in the store! Every product has been tried and tweaked on real students and many are used by teachers around the world. Just check out the Testimonials page to read what other teachers have to say.
Thank you to each of you who have been a part of this journey; I know some of you have been here with me since the very beginning 20 years ago! Leaving comments on blogs is a bit passé these days, but I sure would love to hear from any of you. The comments and support and emails are a big part of what has sustained me in this endeavor over all these years. If God gives me the privilege of teaching for the next 20 years I hope to be able to continue providing valuable resources to piano teachers all over the world either via Music Matters Blog or through some other means – who knows what the music teaching world will look like in 2045?! So to all of you, thank you, and many blessings to you and your students as you commence another year of teaching!

Congratulations on 20 years Natalie! Wow, what a huge milestone. Your blog was the first blog I started following when I first started teaching 13 years ago. I still remember purchasing and using the Mystery of Music practice motivation in my studio. Thank you for sharing your piano teaching, resources and life with us. God bless!
