I’ve been teaching my little 4-year old nephew online piano lessons this year since he lives in another state. It’s amazing how quickly he’s picked up on various concepts, and whenever he comes to visit we get to do an in-person lesson where I can see just how much he’s learning! In light of that, I’ve started creating some simple free music worksheets that he can do mostly on his own during the week to reinforce what I introduce at his lesson.
This first one is a simple page of piano keys where his mom can circle a key name at the top, then all he has to do is find and circle the piano that has that key marked. It’s designed to be laminated or placed in a plastic sheet protector, then all the writing can be done with a dry erase marker and the worksheet can be used many times! I’ll be adding each of these to the Music Matters Blog store as free music worksheets that can be downloaded and printed and used in your studios. You could also use it as a digital file for online music lessons. It would work perfectly with the whiteboard feature on Muzie.Live where you could have students interact by drawing circles around the correct keyboard on the screen. Hope you enjoy them, and let me know if you have any suggestions for other worksheets you’d like to see!
