MTNA Announces Free Virtual National Conference!

March 16, 2020 by natalie 2 Comments

As we all adjust to the societal changes required to combat COVID-19, it’s interesting to experience the flux and innovation in various industries. I’ve been offering virtual piano lessons for over 9 years now and having the technology set up and ready to roll is coming in quite handy right now!

It’s been several years since I’ve been able to attend an MTNA National Conference, so I was thrilled to learn that they are making plans to offer a 2020 Virtual Conference that will be available to all MTNA members for free! If you’re not already a member, what a great reason to join (and you can even get a pro-rated membership that will be good now through June!). This organization, especially the local associations of which I’ve been a member, has made an immeasurable impact on me as a teacher, giving me numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, providing support and encouragement, and giving my students opportunities to participate in festivals and other growing experiences.

According to the email from MTNA’s Executive Director, Gary Ingle, the features of the virtual conference include:

  • FREE for all MTNA members
  • Sessions viewable at your own pace, on your own schedule
  • Content easily accessible through the MTNA website
  • Video sessions, articles, handouts, and resources
  • Digital Poster Sessions
  • Virtual Exhibit Hall and Showcases

I’m looking forward to attending the conference again – and perhaps this will pave the way for more such opportunities in the future!

Is this real? I’m a member, but can’t find anyway to register for the virtual conference.

    Kristi~
Yes, it was an email from Gary Ingle. They haven’t posted the login info/links yet, but I’ll post as soon as I receive them!
