Free Giveaway of Piano Safari!

If you read yesterday’s post, you know that I’m a huge fan of Piano Safari! So, I’m thrilled to announce that Julie and Katie have generously agreed to giveaway a free set of the Level 1 Pack (a $35.50 value!)! That includes the Repertoire Book, Sight Reading and Rhythm Cards, and Listening CD. All you have to do is leave a comment below to be entered in a drawing to win a Level 1 Pack of Piano Safari for yourself! The winner will be selected on Friday, February 28, at noon (CST) using a random number generator. I know you’ll love it!

    I was inspired to teach by rote more often in my studio after reading and watching the many helpful articles and videos on the Piano Safari website that I discovered a few months ago. I love the enthusiasm my students and children have as they learn songs that utilize more of the keyboard and sound impressive even at early levels!

    I love the philosophy of these books….that playing is not strictly about reading. I once heard someone say that we don’t force kids to learn to read before allowing them to speak so why should we make them read music before allowing them to enjoy an instrument? Definitely NOT the way I was taught but it’s really made me think. I’m now making an effort to shift my teaching style and these resources would be a great help!
