Family Dynamics: Rhythmic Memory is the second book in this Family Dynamics series. This is a cute and clever story about the forgetful snare drum introduces readers to all the instruments of the percussion family along with some basic rhythm patterns (using quarter notes, quarter rests, and eighth notes). It lends itself well to an interactive read with readers chanting the rhythmic phrases along with snare drum to help him remember the things he needs to in order to make it through his performance. Cartoonish illustrations by Thu Vu complement the light-hearted story of a family of instruments coming together to help a struggling member succeed.
