Family Dynamics: Embrace your Sound is the cute story of a violin who wishes she could make the sounds of other instruments in her music store. An evening out of her case gives her the opportunity to explore the areas around the store, where she is introduced to each of the other instrument families and individual instruments. Brief descriptions about how the instruments are played give readers an introduction to each one. Predictably, as violin makes her way back to her family, she recognizes the valuable role that every instrument plays in a symphony orchestra and takes her seat just in time for the conductor’s arrival. Illustrations by Thu Vu are a playful accompaniment to the story.
