In case you haven’t seen it yet, here is an interesting infographic recently published by Music Teacher’s Helper (btw, if you use my affiliate link, you will receive 20% off your first month and I will receive a small commission) with input from 300 students:

Now that you are talking about how music teachers helper helps make billing easy for you, I decided to take the plunge once again in MTH.
I did it previously but I set it up wrong and it kept asking me to input stuff and I did not like all the babysitting that it was requiring me to do so I quit that program
Do you have any advice to how to use MTH to make life actually easier and not harder?

Hi Judy!
It does take a bit of work up front to input all the student and family data, but once you do it is SO worth it! I have my calendar set up through Music Teacher’s Helper. But most importantly, I have it set up to automatically invoice families at the beginning of the month with their lesson fees for that month, plus any additional book and/or event fees that I’ve assessed. I love having a “middle person” handling all the bookkeeping for me! Also, if you need help getting things set up properly, the support services at Music Teacher’s Helper are wonderful! They have lots of tutorials and videos, plus excellent English-speaking tech people who will answer questions and walk you through whatever you need help with. Once you’ve got everything set up, the only thing you really need to do on an ongoing basis is reconcile lessons (mark who attended and add any notes, if you want), and record any manual payments you receive from families. All on-line payments are recorded automatically. Hope this helps!
