Have you seen the new Alberti Publishing Company yet? Their first published product is a fabulous piano assignment book called The Right Notes that incorporates snippets of music history on every page.
Alberti Publishing has generously offered to give away 5 copies of their colorful assignment book to readers of Music Matters Blog. All you have to do is register on their website and then leave a comment below on this post. I will use a random number generator to select the five winners on Monday, June 1, at noon.
Here’s a cool extra incentive – any super sleuths who can identify the upside down illustration in The Right Notes Piano Assignment Book can also enter for a chance to win an iPod! Visit the contest page on the Alberti Publishing website for all the details. So, even if you don’t win a copy, you may want to purchase a copy and start investigating for a chance to win something even better!

Just registered- looks great.
Just registered! It looks like what I’ve been searching the music stores for!
I’ve registered! It looks like a fantastic book for my students!
Thanks for the information. I have some doubt about using such fancy assignment books. I prefer a smaller size book. Perhaps it’s only my studio. My students and their parents would read words I wrote down. It’d hard to think that they will bother with the fancy graphics, historical notes on the pages. Having to pay $8.50 for it, when a normal college rule notebook that costs probably $1 during sales at Stapes, is a bit of a turnoff to me. I’d rather that they pay that much for a real music history workbook or something.
What a great little book! Great pictures and info! I just registered!
I registered – thanks- Tracy
I too have registered and hope this will help the curriculum for my students. I have a new school next year with no existing curriculum and am looking for all the help I can get. Thanks for the posts.
I’m a big fan of good lesson journals. This one looks fab. Heaps better then my do it yourself models.
I print my own assignment pages but think it might be time for a change. Thanks, Natalie, for a chance to win one of these!
Always thank you for sharing all infos, and for this book.
I don’t usually use assignment books, but this looks like a great resource for mini research and music trivia assignments!
