		<description>Great stuff. I actually use some of these techniques when I teach a new piece in band. Obviously, we want the students to be able to sight read, but I am dealing with a Middle School Non Varsity band, so it is a bit more challenging than that.

After we&#039;ve suffered through a day or two of trying to figure it out on our own, I will play a recording for them and let them watch their part. Then I begin to play the recording frequently so they get a mental picture of how it should sound.
