Rhythm Blocks

I promise I’m still going to answer all the specific questions relating to my piano camp, but in the meantime, you have to check out these awesome rhythm blocks that D’Net made! They are so colorful and such a wonderful teaching tool. Looks like I have something else to add to my summer to-do list! :-)

Saw these in my feedreader yesterday – they do look a fantastic idea. Now just got to find my toolbelt . . . . . :)

Thanks for the great blog. Just wanted to suggest for people who don’t have the tools/skills to cut wood, you could easily use jumbo cuisenaire rods to make these rhythm blocks. For anyone not familiar with them, these are rods used as math manipulatives – the 1 rod (white) is 2cm x 2cm x 2cm, the 2 rod (red) is 2cm x 2cm x 4cm; the 4 rod (purple) is 2cm x 2cm x 8cm; and so forth. They’re sold on the ETA cuisenaire website.
