I intend teaching the following pieces in the new year:

Kwela No. 1
Ufie III
Ticklin’ Toes

I love the two lullabies. 

There is beautiful music throughout vol.1, so it&#039;s well worth it, with good variety and very accessible for the student. I would also recommend the various technical challenges of individual pieces.

Natalie, I don&#039;t find &quot;Soufiane&quot; dissonant, based on a typical &#039;Arab&#039; scale - it is very melodic. However, the student I played it for did not like it in the least. &quot;The Monk&quot; is a nice piece but a too derivative in my opinion.</description>

Volume I is definitely more accessible for students than Volume II. I think there are a number of pieces in it that a later intermediate/early advanced student would enjoy. Personally, I didn&#039;t like Volume II well enough to buy it, but I did like Volume I well enough to buy it. (But I also have a fairly low tolerance level for dissonance in music, so take that with a grain of salt!)</description>
