FJH New Release Club

Filed under: Teaching Ideas — natalie @ 9:33 pm

Do you know about the FJH New Release Club? I’ve been a member for several years now and love getting the newest releases every quarter. As a member of the club, you get a 50% discount off of each item you receive in the quarterly packet. It’s a great way to stay up-to-date on new materials. I just found out that you can sign up to be a member of the club on-line. So, if you’re interested in getting these great new releases from composers like Nancy & Randall Faber, Melody Bober, Kevin Olson, Timothy Brown, Elizabeth Greenleaf, Mary Leaf, and many more, check it out and sign up for yourself!

    Hi,

Do you keep the music received from the FJH New Release Club, or do you have sell it to the student? What other lesson book clubs are you a member?

    Hi Angela!
I keep a lot of it in my lending library so that the students can borrow it. Some of it I sell to students. And some of it ends up in my Duds pile that gets passed on to other teachers. Last year I was a member of the SoundForth New Release Club, but they just discontinued it. I’m not currently a member of any other clubs. I think Hal Leonard and Alfred both have clubs, though. FJH is probably my favorite publisher, though, so I like to keep up with the latest from them. Beyond that I try to buy all my music at the local music store.
