Hi Kristi!

So glad you like my site! Those melodic dictation worksheets were from another website. I just checked and it looks like they are no longer available. So sorry! It just had several lines of melodies with a few notes missing from each one that the student had to fill in by ear as you play the whole melody.

Thanks for your other question. I'll try to address it in an upcoming Monday Mailbag.

I am enjoying the bounty of ideas from your website and the other links. I'm trying to open the melodic dictation worksheets, but am unsuccessful. Do you have other ideas for the above listed categories that you put on popsicle sticks? What do you usually have ready to use? Hope to hear back soon. Thanks Kristi

I like this idea. Some of our barbershop singers seem to have difficulty working out whether to go up or down to match a note that someone else is singing.

Your idea would drive home the fact that when music notes go up the pitch goes up as well. I'll have to try it.
