		<description>Yes the matter of teaching modes does lead to confusion and depends on the teacher and how he or she lays out the theory. I for one like to say learn your scales and just think of the degrees 1 to 1 2 to 2 etc. in each case it is the same. Not only that the steps are arranged exactoly alike in all major scales and that facilitates the understandin gof the structure that is inherent in the western scale system. By the way Mike if you need any help posting blogs on music related topics i am here.
