I have a clavinova CVP503 which has a USB port. When I record and save to the USB device and play the file on my computer there is a lot of distortion and the piano sounds "clunky".

I have a Calvinova 503 and like the sound of the piano.
I'd like to play the full range of rythms associated on the left side of the piano such as ballad, country..etc. with the full range of the keyboard and not have the split key section interfere with the play of my left hand.
Does anyone know how to do this so that I can play both hands and with the elaborate rythms?

It does work! I got some new speakers which seems to make the recording quality better somehow. The old speakers could still play things in great quality, but when I recorded, the piano didn't sound great "live" through the speakers. After purchasing some new higher quality speakers, everything works.

Eureka! May have found the solution: http://www.amazon.com/Live-Wire-TRS-Dual-Cable/dp/B001G7HDKQ Sounds like the solution based on the reviews too! Will let you know how it goes. This may be the tool for the new models of digital pianos.

John is right! I have a new model CLP-S306 and the aux outs are TRS, not RCA. I've tried the phones/output directly into the PC but the quality isn't nearly as great as your audio sample. Will try to figure it out... :/

Hi
I have just downloaded the audacity install and am just getting distorted notes. I somehow seem to have lost the meter toolbar. I have tried everything including re installing audacity. When I ask it to float the meter bar, nothing happens. Please please please anyone help!!!
